Below you'll find the setups used for my Muscle D Comparison at the Goose
Point circuit. Since I was testing a number of cars, I re-used many parts
out of my garage. As a result, some of the setups look a little strange. A
Ford engine in a GTO? Heresy! No doubt any of them can be improved with
additional tinkering.
You'll notice that the lower-price cars were equipped 335-width tires and
only the pricey Formula and Boss 429 had 345-width rubber. No doubt this
added to their performance. My rationale was that if you are shopping for
a cheaper muscle car, you probably aren't in the market for expensive tires
either. The only exception to this was the regular Firebird. I wanted it
set up exactly the same as the Formula to clearly show the difference made
by the car body by itself.
